Use the plane tracker to place objects in people's environments.
A plane tracker will find a horizontal plane in the real world, like a floor to table. You can then place an object on the plane, and add interactivity and animation to it if you want to.
You can add targets to a plane tracker, to trigger effects when the camera is pointed at a specific thing in the world - like a movie poster.
You can only add one plane tracker in a scene, but you can place multiple objects on the plane.
To insert a plane tracker:
When you've added a plane tracker to a project:
Your Viewport should look like this:
When you've selected the plane tracker in the Scene tab, you'll see its properties in the Inspector panel.
Uncheck this box to stop the plane tracker and any children from being rendered in the scene.
Check this box to find a plane in world space as soon as your effect is opened.
You can't change the transformations for a plane tracker, because it isn't an object.
Add a texture that'll trigger your effect when the camera is pointed at it in real life.
This sets camera-specific visibility. For the plane tracker, Enable For is set to Back Camera automatically and can't be changed. This means that the plane tracker will only be visible in the back camera of a mobile device.

You can create effects that are triggered when the camera is pointed at a target texture. For example, you could craft an effect to be triggered only when someone points the camera a poster for a movie.

You can use this sample content to try out target tracking. If you point the camera at the image of a slice of pizza, a pizza slice will hover above it.
