Object and Asset Management

To create an effect in Spark AR Studio, you'll usually need to import your own assets into a project - for example textures and 3D objects you've created in external programmes.

You'll then add them to your scene, often using one of the objects included in Spark AR Studio.

Learn about:

Inserting Objects

There are lots of objects included in Spark AR Studio that you can use to build your scene.

To insert an object:

  1. Click Insert.
  2. Pick the object you need from the menu.
  3. Click Insert.

Managing Objects

To link objects to each other in the scene, you can create a parent-child relationship between them.

To make one object the child of another:

  1. Go to the Scene tab.
  2. Drag the child object onto the parent object.

Now, the child object will take on or be affected by the properties of the parent object, including the transformations.

Importing Assets

You can import your own assets into Spark AR Studio, including:

  • Textures.
  • Audio files.
  • Animations.

Before you try to import anything, check the supported file formats.

  2. Click +.
  3. Select Import From Computer..., and select the files you want to import.

You can also drag files from your computer, directly into the Assets panel.
